IS simply a systematic and sequential building of the skills required for reading, spelling and writing.

Phonics
is NOT a ‘philosophy’ or a ‘pedagogy’ of teaching.

Please note - Analytic Phonics lacks both structure & sequence.
It is NOT a systematic approach. It is taught IN PLACE OF phonics.
It therefore does not qualify and is not included in the list of 3 below.

All of the 3 approaches listed have merit.
